Principal in charge of overseeing all company operations including marketing, estimating, accounting, project management and field operations. Graduated from Georgia Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Building Construction. Worked for Hardin Construction Group from 1990 to 1993 and New South Construction Company, Inc. from 1993 to 1997. Started Tomco Construction, Inc. in January of 1997.

Ben (Beau) Strickland, Project Manager

Beau has 8+ years of Business Development, Project Management and Project Engineering experience having worked for a Design/Build firm and a national General Contractor.  He has worked on projects in both Industrial and Commercial settings in GA, AL, TX, CA, CO and FL.  He is a graduate from the University of West Georgia with a degree in Business Management.  Beau joined Tomco in May of 2010.

Derrick Buchanan, Sr. Project Superintendent

Derrick brings 20 plus years of commercial experience to Tomco having built well over a combined 1,000,000 SF of Class A Commercial, University Education, Secondary Educational, and Parking Garage Facilities in his career. Derrick is especially knowledgeable in high-end masonry facilities as well as cast-in-place concrete and steel frames. Derrick joined Tomco in July of 2007.

Joe DeHaven, Project Superintendent

Prior to joining Tomco Joe worked for New South and A&K. He brings with him experience in framing and carpentry. Joe has been with Tomco since May of 2006.

Dawn Maylath, Office Manager

Dawn has 20+ years of administrative support experience with seven years specifically in construction.  She worked for Kelley Construction in Louisville, KY and F.A. Wilhelm Construction in Indianapolis, IN.   Her responsibilities as Office Manager include AP/AR, Human Resource & Benefits, and PM project support.  She has an Associates degree in Business Administration from FMU in Tampa, FL.  Dawn joined Tomco in February of 2008.

Kelli Dent, Admin Support/Receptionist

Kelli joined Tomco Construction in November of 2008. Kelli works with the members of management to ensure project documentation is completed correctly and on time.  She manages website design and maintenance of. 

Jason Strane, Estimator

Jason joined Tomco in June of 2010.  His main role is estimating and working with management in project bidding.  He is currently attending Georgia Tech to earn a degree in Construction Management.
