Privacy policy

Names, email addresses, phone numbers and the details of what you ask us about. Nothing more.

When you send an inquiry through the contact form or email the office, we receive your first and last name, your email address, your phone number if you provide one, your company name if you provide one, and whatever you write in the message. A project inquiry also includes the type of work, the location, and an optional budget range and timeline.

When a subcontractor or trade partner completes the pre-qualification form, we receive the company name, primary trade, years in business, business address, contact name, contact email, contact phone, insurance limits, and any W-9 or certificate of insurance uploaded with the form. Those documents are stored privately and used only to evaluate and maintain the trade relationship.

Our web host and analytics record technical information automatically, which is described in section 03.

We do not ask for Social Security numbers, bank account details, medical information or payment card numbers through this website. If you send any of that by mistake, tell us and we will delete it.

Your information is used for the reason you gave it to us, and for the ordinary business work that follows from it:

• To answer your inquiry and follow up about a project.
• To prepare estimates, proposals and pre-construction budgets you asked for.
• To evaluate subcontractor qualifications, insurance coverage and compliance documents.
• To keep normal business records of who we spoke with and what was discussed.
• To keep the website running and to understand which pages and projects people find useful.

We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not add you to a marketing list you did not ask for.

This website uses analytics to count visits and see how people move through the pages. Those tools may set cookies, or read identifiers already stored on your device, and they record technical details such as browser and device type, approximate location by city or region, the page that referred you, and the pages and projects you view.

Analytics is reported to us in aggregate. We use it to decide what to feature and where the site is hard to use. We do not use it to identify you by name.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. The site still works with cookies blocked, and blocking analytics does not stop you from sending an inquiry.

If we add a new analytics or advertising tool, this page is updated before it goes live.

We do not sell or trade your information.

We share it only with the service providers that run parts of this business: the company that hosts this website, the service that delivers our email, and the analytics provider that reports site traffic. Each of them sees only what their part of the job requires.

We may disclose information if the law requires it, if a court orders it, or where it is needed to protect our legal rights, our people or a project site.

If Tomco Construction is sold or merged, inquiry records may transfer with the business. This policy would continue to apply until it is replaced.

Inquiry records stay on file while the conversation is active and for up to three years after our last contact, so a conversation can be picked back up and ordinary business records stay intact.

Subcontractor pre-qualification records, insurance certificates and W-9s stay while a trade partner is under consideration, and for as long as they are an active or recently active partner.

Ask us to delete your information and we will, unless we are required to keep a record to meet a legal or accounting obligation.

Documents uploaded with a pre-qualification form are stored privately rather than at a public web address, and are opened only by the people who need them. Inquiry details sit in our business systems, limited to office staff.

No website is perfectly secure. If something ever exposes information you gave us, we will tell you what happened and what we are doing about it.

Write to info@tomcoconstruction.com or call (770) 683-2333 and ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. We answer within a business day or two.

You can opt out of analytics at any time by blocking cookies in your browser.

If you ask us to stop contacting you, we will stop, except where we have to reply about an active contract or a legal matter.

This site is written for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If a child has sent us something, tell us and we will remove it.

Pages here may link to other sites, such as project partners or trade resources. Their privacy practices are theirs, not ours.

If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it. Material changes are posted here before they take effect.
